About Our Single Cruising Bears Roommate Finder Program
Join our Facebook Group and participate in the Chat for Single Cruising Bears.
Post about which cruise you are interested in, and browse Facebook profiles of other members. Reach out with a Facebook message if you see someone you think might be a good roommate for you.
Chat on social media and eventually talk live on a web video call to determine if you think you are compatible roommates. Focus on issues like snoring, sleeping habits, tidy or messy, sleep apnea, drinking habits, etc. to make sure you are compatible with your cabin share.
Email Matthew at Cruising Bears know that you want to book a cabin and share. We can create the reservation and charge each of you for half.
For cruises with refundable deposits, you can book a cabin to save your spot, and then look around for a compatible roommate to share with. If you find one, we can charge half to you and half to the other person. If you do not find one by final payment date (usually 120 days prior to sailing), then you may cancel the cruise to get a refund… or you may decide to go on your own as a solo traveler with the Cruising Bears group.
Please be aware that this is a private agreement between you and the roommate.
Cruising Bears, Dream Vacations, Matthew Jobe or Aram Mageryan has no responsibility for finding another cabin roommate for you if your original roommate cancels.
Cruising Bears, Dream Vacations, Matthew Jobe, or Aram Mageryan has no financial responsibility in helping you pay for your cabin should your cabin share cancel.
Cruising Bears will consider rooms booked via Single Cruising Bears program, non-refundable to protect both travelers. Meaning any funds paid to the cruiseline will be held in the event one traveler cancels.
In most cases, Cruising Bears is able to do a name change on one of the names on the reservation, meaning that we can remove one person who needs to cancel and substitute another person if you find a different roommate. (Most cruise lines only allow us to change one name on the reservation…not both.)
In the event of a cancellation, the remaining sailor will be required to pay for the entire remaining room balance. If the remaining sailor is unable to find a replacement and is unwilling to pay for the remaining balance, they will also need to cancel and potentially lose any money paid towards the deposit and/or cruise, depending upon the terms of the booking with the cruise line.
We want you to understand that you assume these risks if you book with someone, whether you know them or not.
